Some  very welcome feedback from some of our recent customers. We don’t generally  give feedback to customers but if we did, it would be about the warm welcome and hospitality we receive at virtually every event we are lucky enough to be a part of.

Moira 60th Birthday party

Beckenham January 2020

Hello Nigel
I’d like to thank you and the band for providing the fabulous music for my birthday party.  As it was my 60th and I had invited people from different parts of my life I thought a ceilidh would be a good way of getting people communicating and enjoying themselves.   I’m glad to say I got it right!   I had many (often surprised) messages the next day from people telling me how much they’d enjoyed the music.  The dance floor was full the whole night.  Quite a few people who rarely dance just couldn’t resist the urge to get up and join in.  ‘I’ve never seen him dance before’ was mentioned a few times.  Our discussions beforehand about the plan for the night were helpful and the music sets between the dancing made for a great atmosphere throughout the evening.
With many thanks,  Moira

Hi Nigel,

Thank you so much for helping to make Hannah’s 21st celebration such a night to remember. We all had a wonderful evening and having a live band as good as yours made the evening very special.

So many people have commented “we must do this again” that I’d like to book Step Lively for next January please.

You guys sounded great – I wish we’d been around to enjoyed it more… We were taking photos during the first part and the second part seemed to fly by. Thanks for including Edelweiss – Fiona was chuffed.

People said they loved it so thanks for playing a part in our big day.

Dear Nigel,

I wanted to thank the band and the caller for a fantastic evening last night. They were brilliant and the dances expertly explained. Everyone had a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. If we could get you to pencil us in for next Burns Night we would be delighted!

Please do pass this on to all, it was a pleasure to chat and I really appreciated their flexibility and helpful attitude to timings and pretty much everything asked of them.

Warm regards

Catriona

Joanne and Paul , Eltham 3rd May 2017

Dear Nigel
I just wanted to say a quick thank you for playing at our anniversary party. It went really well and your band was a big part of that. The music was lovely and your people were really professional – sorry for the delay in getting into the venue, I hope it didn’t stress you all out?
Anyway, a big thank you from me and my husband – and do thank the lads and ladies in your band for making it a wonderful evening.

Best wishes
Jo and Paul

It’s testament to the professionalism, sense of community and creative talent that a group can hit our brief for Jah Burns, a fusion of Scottish and Jamaican culture to celebrate Burns Night.  Step Lively did just that adding the perfect ceilidh to our cross-cultural event. So much so we had them back for our free family event during our summer festival and they’ll return for Jah Burns 2018.

Dear Nigel

My apologies for the unseemly lateness, but I think I told you that we were going away for a few weeks immediately after the ceilidh.
And what a ceilidh it was! Absolutely brilliant. Such good, honest enjoyment – everyone loved it, and I do mean everyone. I have had so many more positive comments than ever before.

The caller (Rick?) was particularly good. He was a marvel – he even managed to get some determined non-dancers to their feet, and proved to them that it doesn’t actually matter too much if you get it wrong: it all adds to the fun.

This is beginning to sound a bit gushing, but Step Lively was the perfect band for the occasion, and I think I can say with some certainty that we will be calling on you, no pun intended, again next year.

Well done, all of you, and a very Happy Christmas to you all.

All best wishes

Colin Gamm
